Bajaj Corp's FMCG chief no more

Hinger is known to have spend over 50 years in the group; was in charge of FMCG division for 30 years

Roshan Fatehlal Hinger, the executive vice-chairman of Bajaj Corp passed away on Saturday, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange today.

Hinger spent more than five decades with the group and since the last three decades he was in charge of the company's fast moving consumer goods division which specialises in hair oil products.

"Mr. Hinger aged 73 years, was associated with the Bajaj Group for over 50 years. In 1982 he was given the responsibility of the FMCG business and spearheaded the business for the last 31 years", the company said in a release.

Bajaj Corp, which is a part of the Shishir Bajaj Group, is one of the leading makers of hair oil in India.
 

"During this period, he was instrumental in making the premium hair oil brand-Bajaj Almonds Drops, household name in the country", the release further added.

He also served as a Director at Bajaj Consumer Care, Bajaj ebiz, Esugar Clearing Corporation, and Bajaj Infrastructure Development Company. Hinger held a Bachelors Degree of Science from the University of Udaipur.
