Bajaj Auto on Thursday launched its new 150cc commuter segment motorcycle Boxer in the Andhra Pradesh market. Company general manager (marketing and sales) R Chandrasekar said it was designed to meet the needs of the people living in non-metro areas, and described it as a “jeep on two wheels.”

It costs Rs 43,009 (ex-showroom, AP), while the on-road price would be Rs 50,000. The company hopes to increase its market share in the commuter segment with this bike. It expects to sell around 30,000 units countrywide in the first full month of sale (October), with 2,000 units coming from Andhra Pradesh.
