Bajaj Auto launched its CNG 3-wheeler in Indonesia on Wednesday.

The Bajaj CNG will replace the dated 2-stroke 3-wheelers that ply in Jakarta, according to a release issued by the company.

According to the release, around 250 vehicles will be replaced by the end of October 2006, and 15,000 vehicles are expected to be replaced in the near future. The opening of this market is expected to add significantly to Bajaj auto's 3-wheeler exports, which crossed 75,000 units in 2005-06, the release added.

Bajaj Auto would be retailing the vehicles through its distributor PT. Abdi Raharja. The master showroom and workshop has been built with 3 floors of 600 sq.m. area each, and is located centrally in South Jakarta, the release said.
