Balmer Lawrie & Company net flat at Rs 23.74 crore

Diversified public sector conglomerate Balmer Lawrie and Company has posted a flat rise in net profit for the quarter ended December 31 to Rs 23.74 crore from Rs 19.99 crore in the same quarter last fiscal on the back of higher sales driven by the performance of its logistics segment. Net sales for the quarter were up by 17.7 per cent over last year to Rs408.77 crore.

The logistics and infrastructure segment clocked a 21 per cent year-on-year growth in revenue to Rs 100.64 crore while the segment profit was Rs 26.77 crore, up from Rs 23.34 crore a year back.

 

The net profit during the nine-month period increased to Rs 73.63 crore as compared to Rs 66.18 crore for the corresponding period of last year, an increase of over 11 per cent. Total income for the nine month period ended December 31 stood at Rs 1309 crore as compared to Rs1076 crore a year back.
