Balrampur Chini plans Rs 300cr capex

The board of directors of Balrampur Chini Mills, which met today, approved a proposal to set up an integrated sugar complex at Datauli in East Uttar Pradesh at an estimated cost of around Rs 300 crore.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, the complex will have a 7000 tonne crushed per day (TCD) sugar plant, 23 MW co-generation power plant and 60 kilo litre per day (KLPD) distillery.

"The project is expected to be commissioned by November 2006," the release added.
