Balrampur Chini Mills today said its net profit jumped 40 per cent to Rs 89.42 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, compared to the same period last year.
The profit was at Rs 63.78 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal.
The company's revenue rose to Rs 439.58 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2009, from Rs 429.54 crore in the same period last fiscal, Balrampur Chini Mills said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Shares of Balrampur Chini closed at Rs 120.25 on the BSE, up by 1.86 per cent from previous day's closing.
