This is against a projected growth of 28-29 per cent, according to B.V. Naidu, director, Software Technology Parks of India-Bangalore. Software exports from Bangalore stood at Rs 12,350 crore during 2002-03 as against Rs 9,903 crore in 2001-02, and Rs 7,475 crore in 2000-01. |
Speaking at the inauguration of i-flex park, Naidu expressed happiness on the robust growth that Bangalore had witnessed in the current fiscal. |
"Nearly 131 new companies have started their operations in Bangalore during the current fiscal. These companies have invested a total of Rs 1800 crore," he said. |
