Bangalore to host Startup Festival in March

Aims to unite thousands of people, over 100 partners under one brand to celebrate the city's rise as the Start Up capital of India

Bangalore will play host four-day start-up event Startup Festival in March. The event which will begin on March 7, aims to unite thousands of people and over 100 partners under one brand to celebrate Bangalore's rise as the Startup Capital of India. The organisers of the event said the objective of the festival is to make Bangalore the Startup Capital of India and is open to anybody like yet-to-be entrepreneurs, early stage startups and everyone part of the startup ecosystem.

Speaking at the launch of The Startup Festival, Shashikiran, Co-Founder, Startup Festival, said, “Our vision is to build ecosystems and create a cultural shift that will make Bangalore the next big destination for entrepreneurs to come and realize their dreams.”

According to a recent report from the Startup Genome, Bangalore is currently ranked as the 19th city among world's leading hubs for start-ups; our ultimate goal is to get Bangalore among the top 10 cities in the world for start-ups.

Vladimir Dubovskiy, Co-Founder, Startup Festival, commenting on the festival said, “Startup Festival was born out of fire in an entrepreneurial heart. We have a deep desire to help reshape the city of Bangalore with entrepreneurship at the heart of the city's future.”

The festival will bring together entrepreneurial veterans, novice entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, and thought leaders for a series of activities. The 4-day event will have various sessions such as startup pump, powerhouse, Bangalore rises, startup crawl, launchpad among others which will help the startup ecosystem.
