Barclays appoints heads of equities for India, Korea

Global financial services major has appointed Neel Shahani as Head of Equities India and Myung Seop Kho as Head of Equities Korea

Global financial services major Barclays has appointed Neel Shahani as Head of Equities India and Myung Seop Kho as Head of Equities Korea.

Shahani and Kho are responsible for leading and managing Barclays equities sales and trading businesses in their respective countries, Barclays said in a statement today.

Both will report to John Chang, Head of Equities Distribution Asia Pacific and Vikesh Kotecha, Head of Equities Trading Asia Pacific.

Chang said: "They are among the most experienced and well-regarded equities professionals in their markets and have deep relationships with our key clients and stakeholders so we have every confidence that they will continue the steady growth we have seen in our India and Korea Equities businesses."
 
Shahani joined Barclays in 2011 and has been responsible for establishing and managing the sales trading team in India as well as growing the business's Head of Equities Sales market presence. He is based in Mumbai.

Kho also joined Barclays in 2011 as Head of the Generalist Equities Distribution for domestic Korean accounts, and was responsible for establishing and managing the domestic Generalist Equities Sales team in Korea. He is based in Seoul.
