Chemical producer BASF India today said its net profit rose by 30.34 per cent to Rs 34.02 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2009.
Total income rose to Rs 368.39 crore in the latest quarter from Rs 324.70 crore in the same period last fiscal, BASF India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The company, in a separate filing to BSE, said the board has approved the sale of company's agrochemical plant at Dadra site. The company is in the process of finalising the sale.
Shares of BASF India were trading at Rs 409 on the BSE, up 13.94 per cent from previous close.
