Basic Operators Squeeze Isps

With basic telephone operators such as Bharti, MTNL and Tata Teleservices offering Internet services along with their telephony services, the revenues of standalone Internet service providers (ISPs) are set to dwindle further.

MTNL for instance, which recently introduced Internet express service whereby a customer can access the Net by just dialling a seven digit number, has got the PSU more than one lakh subscribers in the last six months.
