BEL reports FY05 turnover of Rs 3,224cr

Bharat Electronics (BEL) has recorded its highest-ever turnover of Rs 3,223.60 crore in the year ended March 31, 2005.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, the provisional figure is an increase of 15% over last year's turnover of Rs 2.798.60 crore.

"The value of production for 2004-05 is Rs 3,248.20 crore as against Rs 2,807.80 crore last year - an increase of 16%. The estimated profit before tax is Rs 656 crore as against last year's figure of Rs 469 crore. The company achieved exports of $12.72 million, a 40% jump over last year's figure of $9.08 million," the release said.
