With an aim to tap the Gujarat market further, Bellezza, a chain of unisex salons, is planning to roll out 20 salons across various cities in the state.

Currently, Bellezza (India) Pvt Ltd runs seven salons in the state for the last three years. The company is planning more grooming salons in cities like Surat, Vadodara, Jamnagar, Rajkot and Ahmedabad.

"Gujarat has a huge market and tremendous potential. The state can be compared to Mumbai as people here love to groom themselves and have the paying capacity too. Gujarat is better off than Mumbai, as the metro lacks behind when it comes to devoting the time that the people of Gujarat can afford to spend. We already have six outlets in Ahmedabad and one in Anand and are keen on opening more salons in the state," said Viqar Ahmed, manager, business operations at Bellezza.

With an investment of Rs 30-40 lakh per 2000 sq feet, the company plans to implement the expansion plans in various formats.

"We plan to implement the expansion plans through various formats like outlets and franchises in Gujarat.," he said.

The company, started by Anil Adamane and Mubarak Kanoje in collaboration with L'Oreal, a leading international cosmetic brand in 2003, has a chain of 24 salons across the country.

The style salon offers expert services ranging from beauty treatments to hair care and styling. Bellezza houses its head office in Nagpur city and has a vision of 500 salons all over the country and worldwide.
