BEML Ltd, the Bangalore-based earthmoving, mining and defence products maker under the ministry of defence, today reported a net loss of Rs 17.43 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2008 compared to a net profit of Rs 23.59 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The total income has declined by 24 per cent to Rs 309 crore during the quarter compared to the same period last year.
