Bengaluru-based healthtech startup JustDoc has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from TracxnLabs and angel investors including TV Mohandas Pai, InMobi co-founder Mohit Saxena, TaxiForSure co-founder Raghunandan G and the Singapore Angel Network.

JustDoc hopes to solve the problem of unavailability of qualified doctors to patients by enabling video consultations through its website and app. Currently, the startup has over 100 doctor partners from hospitals such as like Apollo, Fortis, Manipal, and AIIMS.

"JustDoc is using technology to make healthcare as simple as it should have been. JustDoc will make sure that quality healthcare is delivered to patients in need round the clock," said Jugal Anchalia, co-founder of JustDoc, in a statement.

The company currently offers online consultations for general medicine, psychology, gynaecology, dermatology and paediatrics specialisations. It claims that 70 per cent of the problems in the given categories can be diagnosed via video consultations. As off now JustDoc's platform facilitates close to 100 consultations on a daily basis.

"I have invested in JustDoc because their solution to these problems is to leverage technology and break the barriers that include reducing financial burden, providing video medical consultation in rural areas by connecting everyone from anywhere to the best possible doctors at a minimum cost," said Mohit Saxena, co-founder of InMobi.

Over 2,500 consultations have been made on JustDoc so far, claiming to have saved patients over 20,000 hours so far. It is now looking at tying up with more hospitals - both private and government - in order to grow its base of doctors and serve more patients as its business scales up.

"A comprehensive solution in this space will require convenient access and secure records storage over multiple consultations on the one hand while helping doctors and clinics to optimize their time to serve more patients consistently and on priority on the other," said Pranav Pai, who invested on behalf of Mohandas Pai.
