Woodpie is the only Indian firm among the seven start-ups selected from across the globe that will be part of the programme that's sponsored by Ingram Content and the Nashville Entrepreneur Centre. The Nashville Entrepreneur Center is one of nine North American tech hubs in the Google for Entrepreneurs network.
"We look forward to helping these entrepreneurs grow and establish their ideas and products through the 1440 Accelerator, as we all work together to create the future of publishing through innovation," said John Ingram, Chairman and CEO, Ingram Content Group, in a statement.
Launched last year, Woodpie currently counts users in 35 countries across the globe and in 310 cities in India alone. The startup has also raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Ingram.
"We are thrilled and excited to be one of the selected teams to attend the 1440 program. We are committed to bring genuine recommendations and real experience of reading paper books," said Manoj Jindal, co-founder of Woodpie.
