RAW Pressery, Mumbai-based cold-pressed fresh juice company, has raised $4.5 million (around Rs 30 crore) in a Series-B funding round from Sequoia India, Saama Capital and DSG partners. This was a follow-up to the first round that invited $1.8 million from Sequoia India in February 2015.

"With this fund-raise, we aim to make our fresh beverages more accessible, available and affordable. We will add eight more juices and smoothies ranging from Rs 50-150 to cater to our young and health-conscious audience," RAW Pressery founder, Anuj Rakyan, said in a statement on Tuesday.

Founded in 2014, RAW Pressery offers cold-pressed juices in eight blends. It is currently in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Chennai at over 300 points of sale (PoS).

"We will expand our presence to 12 cities and to about 1,800 PoS and cover modern trade, institutions and direct-to-home channels in FY17. We are building the country's first cold-pressed facility to ramp up our production and support distribution efforts," Rakyan said, adding that the fresh capital would also be utilised to bolster brand-building initiatives.
