BGR Energy Systems Limited, a Nellore, Andhra Pradesh-based company engaged in EPC and BOP (balance of plant) turnkey contracting for power projects and LSTK ( lump sum turn key) contracts for oil and gas projects, has forged a technical collaboration and license agreement with Italy-based Termomeccania Ecologia (TME) for condensate polishing plants in India.
TME, a euro 167-million company, is specialised in environmental and industrial engineering projects in the fields including waste to energy plants, renewable energy plants, biogas energy recovery plants, softening and demineralisation plants and industrial and municipal sewage water treatment plants.
The technical collaboration and license agreement with TME will be on an exclusive basis for the Indian market and non-exclusive for overseas markets. TME will transfer and impart technical know-how for condensate polishing plants to BGR Energy. It will also render additional technical and commercial assistance to BGR during initial phases of the collaboration The agreement is for five years with a scope to extend it further.
Under the agreement, TME will train the engineers of BGR in design, engineering, manufacturing and other facets of contracts management in execution of turnkey projects for condensate polishing plants, BGR Energy stated in a press release on Monday.
"The market potential for condensate polishing plants in India is closely linked to the capacity addition in power sector. In view of the ambitious capacity addition programme of the central and state governments, the company expects huge potential for condensate polishing plants. The company envisages at least 15 such plants to be procured annually by power generation companies and utilities. As of now, Driplex Water is perhaps the only company which has been supplying condensate polishing plants in the Indian market," the release added.
