BGR Energy in pact with Italian firm for tech collaboration

Energy equipment supplier BGR Energy Systems today said it has signed a five-year agreement with Italy-based company for technical assistance.     

The company has entered into technical collaboration and licence agreement with Italy-based TME SpA Termomeccanica Ecologia for condensate polishing plants in India, BGR Energy said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.     

TME would transfer and impart technical knowledge for condensate polishing plants to the company. The agreement is for a period of five years with a scope for extension for further period.     
TME would train the engineers of BGR Energy in design, engineering and manufacturing, under the said agreement.     

Condensate polisher is a device installed to remove contaminants from condensate to enable its reuse. Condensate polishing is essential to high pressure steam generators in Thermal power stations for better efficiency of the unit by reducing down time and improving heat rate.     

TME SpA- Termomeccanica Ecologia deals with the construction and management of environmental and industrial engineering works.     

Shares of BGR Energy Systems were trading at Rs 163.35, up 5.18 per cent on the BSE.
