BGR Energy Systems net up 48%

BGR Energy Systems, the city-based engineering, procurement and construction company, today said its net profits increased by 47.81 per cent to Rs 23.68 crore for the second quarter of this fiscal.

The company had a net profit of Rs 16.02 crore during the corresponding period of last fiscal, BGR Systems said in a statement here.

Company's total income for the second quarter of current fiscal stood at Rs 425.20 crore as against Rs 311.59 crore during the same period of last fiscal, it said.

For the half-year ended September 30, the net profit stood at Rs 40.91 crore, against Rs 30.71 crore during the same period of last year, while its total income stood at Rs 733.66 crore, against Rs 544.35 crore.

 

The company's order book grew by 320 per cent at Rs 10,613 crore, it said.

The growing opportunities in power, oil and gas sectors in India and abroad provide impetus for growth. The company is geared up to seize the available market potential and expects to achieve significant growth in order book, sales and profitability, the company statement said.

However, the current macro-economic crisis and global scenario may slowdown the growth, the release added.
