Bharat Electronics FY06 sales up 11% at Rs 3,561cr

Bharat Electronics has recorded its highest-ever turnover of Rs 3,5,61 crore (provisional) for the year 2005-06 - an increase of 11% over last year's turnover of Rs 3,212 crore.

According to a release issued by BEL to the BSE today, the estimated profit before Tax is Rs 848 crore as against last year's figure of Rs 686 crore.

"The order book stands at around Rs 6,500 crore as on April 1, 2006, as against Rs 6,100 crore last year," the release added.
