Public sector unit Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has registered a Profit Before Tax of Rs 975 crore for the fiscal 2011-12, a company statement said.
The company's turnover was Rs 5,710 crore (provisional) for the fiscal, the statement said.
According to the company, exports touched $38.45 million and turnover per employee in 2011-12 was Rs 52.9 lakh in FY2012.
Provision of services for the socio-economic and Caste Census and National Population Register contributed significantly to the turnover, it said.
Other new products introduced in 2011-12 were Coastal Surveillance System, Digital Radio Trunking System, Integrated Anti Submarine Warfare System, Upgraded Indigenous Forward Observer Simulator, Electro Optic Fire Control System, Integrated Radio Line Modem and Remotely Operated Vehicle, the statement added.
