Bharat Forge Q2 net up 21%, income up 42%

Bharat Forge today reported a 21% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 74.24 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2006 when compared with Rs 61.16 crore in Q2FY06.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased 42%  to Rs 990.15 crore from Rs 698.09 crore in Q2FY06.

The company, on a stand-alone basis, posted a net profit of Rs 62.18 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as against Rs 51.77 crore in Q2FY06. Total income increased to Rs 469.89 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 from Rs 388.07 crore in Q2FY06.
