Bharat Petroleum net down 54% to Rs 147.3 cr

Bharat Petroleum Corporation, the state-owned refining and marketing oil company, has recorded a 53.86 per cent drop in its net profit at Rs 147.3 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2004 as compared with Rs 319.3 crore in the same quarter in the previous fiscal.
 
The company's total income(net of excise) increased 16.84 per cent to Rs 13,115.6 crore (Rs 11,225 crore).
