Bharati Shipyard's Q2 net up 123%
 
Bharati Shipyard reported a 123 per cent growth in profit after tax, excluding subsidy, at Rs 7.89 crore for the quarter ended September 2005 as compared with Rs 3.54 crore for the same period last fiscal. Turnover, excluding subsidy, registered a growth of 75 per cent at Rs 71.83 crore as compared with Rs 41.12 crore for year-ago period.
 
Birla Power Q2 net at Rs 1.87 cr
 
Birla Power Solutions (BPSL) reported a profit of Rs 1.87 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, compared to a loss of Rs 34.57 lakhs during the corresponding period last year. Sales for the quarter grew 85 per cent on a y-o-y basis to Rs 28.81 crore.
 
EPS stood at Rs 1.79 as compared with Rs 0.33 over the corresponding period last fiscal. The company recently diversified into multi purpose engines and its application products such as pumpsets, sprayers, vibrators and lawn mowers, bpsl said.
 
BRPL Q2 net dips 69% at Rs 49.16 cr
 
Bongaigaon Refinery & Petrochemicals (BRPL) reported a 69.44 per cent decline in net profit of Rs 49.16 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, as compared with Rs 160.87 crore in the year-ago period. Total income has increased 7.13 per cent to Rs 1,254.95 crore from Rs 1,171.36 crore in the same period last fiscal.
