Bharti Airtel consolidated Q4 net up 8%

According to a release issued by Bharti Airtel to the BSE today, consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2009, grew 7.8% to Rs 2,047.73 crore as against Rs 1,898.85 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

The group's total income for Q4FY09 increased 29.8% to Rs 10,295.65 crore from Rs 7,929.95 crore in Q4FY08.

The board also approved a final dividend of Rs 2 per share.

For the full-year ended March 31, 2009, the group has reported 22.9% rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 7,858.95 crore from Rs 6,395.38 crore in FY08. Total income grew 37.4% to Rs 37,504.46 crore from Rs 29,291.85 crore. (All figures as per Indian GAAP)

 

Further, the company has announced a stock split in the ratio of 1:2, the company's board has approved sub-division of existing equity shares of Rs 10 each each into 2 equity shares of Rs 5 each.
