Bharti Airtel today reported a 160% increase in consolidated net profit, as per Indian GAAP, for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 at Rs 1,318.56 crore as against Rs 506.79 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

According to a release issued by Bharti to the BSE today, total income in Q4FY07 grew 58.3% to Rs 5,398.77 crore from Rs 3,410.25 crore in Q4FY06.

Bharti Airtel's FY07 consolidated net doubled to Rs 4,062.01 crore when compared with Rs 2,027.95 crore in FY06. The total income increased 58% to Rs 18,532.11 crore from Rs 11,725.49 crore.
