Bharti Airtel, chief executive, Manoj Kumar Kohli has sold his entire holding of 70,000 shares in India’s largest mobile phone operating firm through open-market transactions, the company said in a filing with the National Stock Exchange on Thursday.
Kohli, who owned 123,000 shares, sold 53,000 shares on March 6 and 70,000 shares on March 9.
The leading business television channel said that Kohli was planning to buy a house with the fund he raised through share sell.
Bharti shares were trading 3.1 per cent down at Rs 569.60 in early Thursday trade, while the Sensex was up 1.7 per cent.
