Telecom major Bharti airtel today said it has partnered with Savvis to strengthen its managed services offerings to enterprises in India.
The partnership with Savvis will further strengthen Bharti's managed services portfolio and will offer innovative solutions to enterprises operating in or expanding into India, Bharti airtel said in a statement.
Savvis will use airtel's data centres, bandwidth capacity and network support to expand their services platform in India, it added.
Under this exclusive agreement, airtel will offer managed services including intelligent hosting, disaster recovery, managed applications, migration planning, consulting, a suite of network and security services and transformational services.
The services will be rolled out through its Bangalore data centre in early 2011 with future expansion into other data centres in New Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Chennai.
"Our strategic partnership with Savvis is a major leap forward and will unlock the potential of the rapidly growing hosted IT services market in the country," Bharti airtel President (Enterprise Services) Drew Kelton said.
