Bharti Q3 net zooms above Rs 1,000cr |

Bharti Airtel consolidated net profit, as per Indian GAAP, has zoomed over 90% to Rs 1,033.34 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2006 when compared with Rs 543.54 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2005. According to a release issued by Bharti to the BSE today, the group's total revenue has surged nearly 62% to Rs 4,928.18 crore in Q3FY07 as against Rs 3,045.18 crore in Q3FY06. On a standalone basis, Bharti today reported a 93.7% rise in net profit at Rs 1,043.69 crore for Q3FY07 as against Rs 538.68 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Total revenues rose nearly 61% to Rs 4,723.68 crore from Rs 2,936.03 crore a year ago.
