BHEL bags Rs 394cr RINL turnkey order |

Power equipment and engineering major Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has won a Rs 394 crore turnkey contract for setting up a 67.5 MW captive power plant at Vizag steel plant in Andhra Pradesh. The order has been placed by Rashtriya Ispat Nigam (RINL) to meet the power requirement of its upcoming expansion project of the Vizag steel plant. The captive plant is likely to be commissioned in 26 months. BHEL's scope of work in the project envisages design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of the plant, in addition to complete civil works. The power plant will be equipped with a state-of-the-art multi-fuel fired boiler. The boilers would be manufactured at BHEL's Tiruchy plant, while the steam turbine generator set would be supplied by the company |
