BHEL FY05 net up 52%

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) today reported a 52% increase in net profit at Rs 1,003.75 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as against Rs 658.15 crore in FY04.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 10,087.80 crore in FY05 from Rs 8,339.70 crore in FY04.

"The company has an outstanding order-book position of about Rs 32,000 crore at the end of the fourth quarter as against Rs 23,650 crore as on March 31, 2004," the release added.
