BHEL FY08 prov net up 17% at Rs 2,815cr

BHEL today said its net profit rose 17% to Rs 2,815 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 2,415 crore in FY07.

Turnover rose 15% to Rs 21,608 crore in FY08 from Rs 18,739 crore in FY07, chairman and managing director K Ravikumar said while announcing the provisional figures for FY08.

Order inflow increased to Rs 50,265 crore in FY08 from Rs 35,643 crore in FY07, Ravikumar said, adding capacity was enhanced to 10,000 Mw per annum.
