BHEL Q1 net up 22% to Rs 289cr

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has posted a 22% increase in net profit at Rs 288.91 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 when compared with Rs 236.67 crore for Q1FY07.

According to an official release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income has increased to Rs 3440.24 crore from Rs 2779.46 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.
