The state-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) posted its standalone net profit of Rs 1,142.28 cr, up 33.15%, when compared to Rs 857.88 crore for the last fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2009.
The net sales for the quarter rose to Rs 8,328.41 crore as against Rs 6,625.21 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Total Income has increased to Rs 8,652.64 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010 from Rs 6,923 crore a year ago as filed with the BSE.
The order book stood at Rs 1.54 lakh crore as on September 30, 2010.
Shares of BHEL were trading at Rs 2,475 per piece on the BSE, up 0.95 per cent from the previous close.
