BHEL Q3 net up 58%, to issue 1:1 bonus

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) today reported a 58% increase in net profit at Rs 667.65 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2006 when compared with Rs 423.19 crore in Q3FY06.

According to a release issued by the company to BSE today, total income moved up to Rs 4,525.16 crore from Rs 3,413.15 crore in Q3FY06.

The board today approved issue of bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1 i.e one share for every share held.

The board also approved an interim dividend of 125% i.e. Rs 12.50 per share.
