BHEL secures order worth Rs 105 cr from IOC

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has secured an order worth Rs 105 crore from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) for setting up a captive power plant at its Barauni Refinery Complex. Capacity of the pland would be 20 mega watt (Mw) Steam Turbine Generator (STG) set-based captive power plant with a gas or oil fired boiler of 150 tonnes per hour capacity.

The project is being set up as an extension of the existing captive power plant, to meet the requirement of uninterrupted power supply to the refinery.

BHEL's scope of work in the project envisages design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of the captive power plant.

 

The equipment for the project will be supplied by BHEL's plants at Hyderabad, Tiruchirappalli, Ranipet, Bhopal and Electronics Division, Bangalore. Erection and commissioning of the captive power plant will be carried out by the company's Power Sector – Eastern Region, Kolkata.
