BHEL wins Rs 1,224cr order in UP

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL)  has bagged a Rs 1,224 crore contract for setting up a 500 MW thermal power plant in Uttar Pradesh.

According to a release issued by BHEL today, Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (UPRVUNL) has placed an order with the company for two units of 250 MW for the expansion project of the Harduaganj Thermal Power Station.

Both the units are slated for commissioning in fiscal 2009-10, the release added.
