Bhilai Steel Plant MD Eminent Engineering Personality for 2010

The Managing Director of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), V K Arora has been given as the Eminent Engineering Personality of the country by the Indian Institute of Engineers. The event took place at a function in the Industrial Engineering Congress held at Kochi. Arora was honoured for his significant contribution in the field of engineering and the steel industry during his career spanning over more 37 years. During his tenure at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), he had worked in different areas and distinguished himself as a competent technocrat, manager and leader. New initiatives were taken such as introduction of concept of Key drivers, Integrated Project Management etc. Arora is presently holding additional charge of Managing Director BSP since June 2010.
