Anil Ambani group's direct-to-home venture BIG TV today said it would add up to 200 channels, including regional and international ones.

The company is also looking at introducing new services on its platform in the next one year.

"Today, there are more than 400 content providers in the country who are servicing the industry...We are looking at adding about 100-200 new channels this year to our portfolio," BIG TV Business Head Sanjay Behl told PTI.

These would include regional and international channels, he added.

The Reliance ADAG firm, which launched its service in August last year, offers 204 channels on its platform.

The company is also looking at launching its Digital Video Recorder (DVR) set-top boxes by Diwali.

"We have DVR technology ready and would launch it by Diwali this year," Behl said.

BIG TV has also launched a new service wherein the customer can get the dish installed within two hours of request.
