Bilcare plans Rs 90cr unit in South Wales

Pune-based pharmaceutical  packaging-to-clinical-supplies manufacturing company Bilcare is investing Rs 90 crore to set up a new clinical supplies facility in South Wales, UK.

The investment will enable Bilcare to expand its presence in Wales, and cater  to the needs  of its customers in Western Europe and parts of Eastern Europe.

Ajit  Dubhashi,  president, Asia Pacific, Bilcare, said: "We have aggressive  plans  for  Europe, and Wales is a good base from which to operate  in  Europe. We acquired DHP, a clinical supplier, last fiscal, and with  our new facility, we will employ over 150 people in Wales." 

Bilcare had recorded a consolidated revenue growth of 59% at Rs 426 crore in FY07.
