According to Mohan Bhandari, Chairman and Managing Director, Bilcare Research, "By generating or creating manpower for the clinical trials industry, we expect our supplies business to get generate additional revenues." |
"Clinical research has seen an exponential rise in the last few years. The industry has been growing over 50 per cent year-on-year and according to industry estimate by 2010 the market is likely to touch $2 billion. With this growth, the industry requires about 30,000 to 50,000 trained personnel. Bilcare on its part intends to bridge the gap and produce around 5,000 clinical research professionals by 2010," he added. |
Bilcare Research Academy on Monday announced that it has partnered with the Bangalore Diabetes Hospital to train manpower for companies which are involved in global clinical trials. |
Bilcare Research Academy also said it has entered into an alliance with The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), to offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Trial Management (PGDCTM). It currently operates two successful batches at its Pune centre. |
"With the opening of our Bangalore centre we plan to bridge the manpower and knowledge pool gap for the southern region," said Bhandari.
