Bill Gates has reportedly taken over a bigger role in Microsoft as technology advisor to Microsoft's new CEO Satya Nadella, after he stepped down as the company's chairman.

Gates express his delight over his new role in the company saying that he was thrilled that Satya has asked him to step up, substantially increasing the time that he spent at the company and said that Microsoft had greater opportunities than before, the Verge reported.
Talking about Nadella's new role, the genious said that he will have a third of his time available to meet with product groups, adding that it would be fun to define this next round of products working together.
Meanwhile, Gates will be succeeded as chairman by Microsoft board member John Thompson.
