Led by Ahmedabad-based trade networking and consulting firm Global Network, a delegation of eight biotech companies is set to visit Manitoba, a state in Canada.
With growing opportunities and businesses in biotech sector in Gujarat, the Manitoba Trade and investment, Government of Manitoba and Life Sciences association of Manitoba has organised a biotech summit between companies from Gujarat and the Canadian state. "The Bio tech meet with Manitoba based companies will be a step forward in Gujarat-Manitoba biotech relationship. Average growth of the industry in last 10 years has been in two digits. Indian companies, particularly SME's are now looking at joint venture & tie ups with overseas biotech companies to take the next leap in this business. Several companies, especially from Gujarat, have shown interest to work with Manitoba based life sciences companies," said Jagat Shah, founder and CEO of Global Network.
According to Shah, who is also the Manitoba trade and investment representative in India, a business session will be conducted in Winnipeg on March 22, 2012 to present the life sciences picture of India and to connect interested Indian and Manitoba companies with each other.
