The Aditya Birla group is again considering acquiring the ailing Pennar Aluminium through Indian Aluminium Company Ltd.
According to company officials, a team of technical experts from Indal recently visited the Pennar plant at Mouda, near Nagpur, to carry out an assessment and evaluation exercise for a revival offer. Pennar was referred to the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction, which declared it sick in April 1998.
