To tap the needs of end-users, Birla Kerala Vaidyashala, a part of the Rs 3,000-crore Yash Birla group, intends to tie-up with local pharma companies to sell its range of products across the country, a top company official said.

"We plan to sell our products, mainly in the category of curing ailments, across the country. For this, we propose to tie-up with local pharmacy companies, starting from April," Birla Kerala Vaidyashala's Managing Director, Harsheet Kuroop, told PTI here.

The company has around 350 products.

The company already has a tie-up with a south-based company to tap that market and  more tie-ups are now in the offing, Kuroop said.

"More such tie-ups will happen as we move to tap other markets in the country," he said.

Birla Kendra Vaidyashala (BKV) has a wide range of products including oils--Thailam (Base Gingelly oil) and Keram (Base Coconut oil), Lehyams, Kashayam powders and capsules, Asavams and Arishtams, among others.

50 per cent of BKV's revenue comes from disease or curing-based treatments and the balance from rejuvenation, he said.

Birla Kerala Vaidyashala offers disease-based treatments, wellness treatments and Panchkarma treatments offering treatment for obesity, osteo-arthritis, cosmetic problem among others.

The treatment is given through modules like day spa, economy centres, luxury spa and cruise spa, he said.
