On the back of a 140 per cent growth in business by leveraging Microsoft's cloud solutions - Office 365 and Azure in last 12 months, Ahmedabad-based Bitscape Infotech, a Microsoft Gold Competency Partner is expecting to record revenue of Rs 40 crore by end of this financial year.

Last year, the company clocked a revenue of Rs 24 crore, even as it continued to add small and medium businesses (SMBs) on to Microsoft's cloud platform through the two flagship products Office 365 and Azure.

According to Kartik Shah, chief executive officer and managing director of Bitscape, in the last 12 months, the company has added around 150 new customers using Microsoft's cloud services. Some of the recently added customers include QED Clinical Services, Sailfin Technologies, Motif Engineering, Saffron Lifestyle Traders Pvt. Ltd, Globe Ecologistics, and Venus Infrastructure.

"With Microsoft Cloud, we are able to deliver value and technical expertise to our customers and empower entrepreneurs, small-midsize businesses and enabling them to leverage enterprise-grade solutions at affordable costs. This advancement in technology is not just boosting business growth in this mobile-first, cloud-first world, but is able to provide benefit to the quality of life at large. With the power of Microsoft cloud, we are enabling SMBs to leverage technology to broaden their customer base across geographies and gain business benefit," said Shah.

For Microsoft India, contribution from channel partners like Bitscape has helped the IT giant to add 2000 clients every month on its cloud platform across the country. According to Manisha Sood, Director-SMB, Microsoft India, the company has been witnessing around 130 per cent growth on cloud platform.

Talking about the business benefits of cloud, Sood said, "Cloud is becoming the platform of choice for businesses of all sizes, across verticals. We aim at reaching out to customers across the nation with our partner network to help them realize the true potential of cloud. We will continue to work towards empowering our partners with the right skill set and work in tandem with them to enable businesses to be ready for the mobile-first, cloud-first era."

Sood added that with availability of CRM Online and Azure in Open Licensing along with Office 365 suite, Microsoft India's partners are armed with a comprehensive product portfolio to address customers' business demands.

Meanwhile, a recent study by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has proven that small and medium businesses that adopt IT solutions grow faster. The study also establishes that small and medium businesses that adopted IT created more new jobs and drove more revenue growth over the past three years compared to those using little or no technology.
