The newly-formed business process council (BPC) is considering introducing certification for those working in supply chain management, logistics management and healthcare. |
The certifications would be offered in partnership with member firms and educational institutes. |
The certification process is expected to take a year to set up. Business Process Council is a non-profit platform for industry to collaborate and share business process knowledge. |
The council has a membership of 35 companies and will now organise the BPC world confrence. |
The theme of the conference is 'Driving Exellence Through Best Practices'. The programme will consist of lectures and case studies on supply chain management, ERP systems, logistics and such others. |
"A shortage of skilled man-power is a matter of great concern today in almost every industry, whether in banking, BPO, construction, consultancy, education and others. Indians are knowledge-hungry and high job-seekers which means the industries they work for have to re-train the educated youth again, spending their precious time and money. Therefore we are thinking of certification for best practises," said Atul Kshetry, founder member of the Business Process Council. |
