Blackstone India's Gupta on Nagarjuna board

Hyderabad-based  Nagarjuna Construction Company has appointed Akhil Gupta, chairman and managing director  of  Blackstone India, as additional director on the company's  board and also as a member of its audit committee and HR and compensation committee.

Gupta is a nominee of the private equity firm Blackstone, which has acquired a 14.5% stake in NCCL. The directors of NCCL have also approved the appointment of Amit Dixit as an alternate director to Gupta with effect from December 12, 2007, the company stated.
