US-based web communications security firm Blue Coat Systems has appointed Balakrishnan Anantharaman as its India country manager.
Anantharaman was previously with Packeteer Inc, a company that was acquired by Blue Coat Systems in April 2008.
"We are pleased to have such a seasoned professional heading the India geography," Web communications vice president sales for Asia-Pacific Matthew Young said.
"Bala has an impressive track record. He has an in-depth understanding of technology and combined with sales experience, I am confident Bala will help grow Blue Coat's business in India," he added.
